NALA ADVENTURES
Where to get the best views in St. Martin
What would you do if your birthday travel plans with friends fell apart days before your departure date?
Well, if you’re like me, you’d pack your bags and head out on a solo trip to your favorite island:
St. Martin!
This was my second time visiting the friendly island and it was twice as beautiful, friendly, and relaxing! The views do it for me every time so here are a few places I visited on the island that will take your breathe away at first sight!
Beach Clubs: Rainbow Cafe has amazing views! The service is great and the food is good. They claim to play Afrohouse music on Sundays but the music felt more techno to me. I would go back earlier in the day for a calmer atmosphere and a lounge chair on the beach!
Anguilla Day Trip: Taking a day trip to Anguilla is a great way to get amazing views while visiting St. Martin. I suggest taking the 9:30am or 10:30am ferry on the French Side to maximize your time on the beach. I took the 12pm ferry and wanted to stay longer. You can also take the Ferry on the Dutch side but I haven’t taken that route yet! I missed the sun during my day trip but as you can see the water was still so bluuuue. I went to a beach on the north side of the island and got food from a place called Uncle Bennie’s. So good!
Beaches on the island: Maho beach is great but I went to Mullet Bay beach this time around and really enjoyed it. The water is beautiful but the best part for me was the food options on the bay. Stop by Rosie’s and get the chicken plate. Rosie’s has chicken just like Captain Rib Shack minus the wait and the commute to Simpson Bay!
